The Knights of Columbus Council 1368 is a not-for-profit organization that strives to support our local charities based on the Knights principles of Charity, Unity, Patriotism, and Fraternity. We conduct several fundraisers throughout the year to help fund our charitable endeavors.

Fundraisers include:  Selling trees, Fish Frys during Lent, Pitch tournaments, Autumn Blaze Smokeoff, Valentines Dance, Tootsie Roll Sales, Golf tournament, The 12 Months of Christmas Project & the Casino Night.

  • Council 1368 conducts Tree Sales each Spring to raise money for our scholarship fund.  We sell the trees,  and for an extra fee deliver and plant them for you.

  • Fish Frys are sponsored designated Fridays during Lent,  to help raise funds to support the council. Pitch tournaments are held following each fish fry.

  • The annual  Autumn Blaze Smokeoff is held every year on the third weekend of October.  It is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, the largest BBQ society in the world.  This has proven to be an event where all our Brother Knights get involved and truly shine.  It is an awesome event that is growing each year and is a festival where you can enjoy world class barbecue.  This competition is open to  the public, for all to participate.  We even have a seperate contest for all Knights councils from across the country to compete for the coveted KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TRAVELLING TROPHY.  If you can get a team together, we would love to meet you and  have you in Garnett, KS the 3rd weekend in October for sharing of great food and fellowship. Beginning in 2008, the Pumpkin Festival is being held in conjunction with the BBQ Festival.

  • Dances are sponsored throughout the year. Our Valentines Dance has become an annual tradition.

  • Each October, we support the mentally handicapped through our Tootsie Roll Sales after Masses and during the parish bazaar.

  • The annual Golf Tournament is held each June at the Garnett Country Club, and is another event we use to meet our council's expenses.

  • 12 Months of Christmas Project is an effort modeled after similar programs around the country.  Council 1368 will be accepting applications from the elderly or families on fixed incomes througout Anderson County in need of home repair and assisting them with preparing for winter weather.

  • We are planning a Casino Night in the future, though it has not been an annual event in the past.  Our 1st Casino Night raised much needed money and drew supporters from miles around.
